Rather communist of them, huh? I'm sure some of us have worked harder for our portions of despair than others.

That's a problem. Soon the people who worked hard for their portion of despair might start protesting against them. They'll fill up the entire plaza with their signs with 'we want our despair!' written all over them.

And I guess that'd make the conclusion in this case that this village can be way too masochistic.

My own mother was making fun of me over all this, to sum it up briefly.

Not just my mother, but my older brother too. I have a big family, so I guess this place found it important to at least a decently sized group of us in here.

Of course you should. You have a very important duty, after all. There's some sort of imbalance in the cosmos when I'm not being made fun of.
