10 ~ comparing those worlds to this boring, normal life [audio/picture]
['Well. It sure got cold pretty fast, huh? Which means that I'm rapidly approaching the one-year mark, so I should really be proud. Or something. After burrowing myself away to avoid complications from refugees, my antisociality has reached a certain limit.
Unfortunately, I also have nothing to contribute beyond the observation about the weather which I already blithely used up there! Not that people can read my thoughts, but if they could, they'd find out. Well, they'd find out a lot of things. But who would want to anyway? It would just go on and on without any point.
Anyway, I guess I'll poorly disguise my attempt to see who's up for a random conversation with some kind of opener. Hey, if I were at home, this would be a mind-scarring Omegle session or something. At least I'm pretty sure I won't run into the usual problems stranger-chatting over the journal.'
...and so:]
So I found this in a book the other day.

Maybe this doesn't work as well over the journal, but I thought it was cool, anyway. Or at least different from discussions about fire and eternal suffering, continued kidnapping, disappearance, reappearance, cross-dressing, and so on.

[Voice]
But you know, you sound pretty calm for a guy who's about to have the love of his life stolen away from him.
[Voice]
I wonder why that is.
[Voice]
[Such obviously fake indignation...! She's pointing in an accusatory manner down at the journal.]
[Voice]
[so deadpan.]
[Voice]
[Peeeeeering down at the journal. Because clearly she can somehow look through it and see more than the simple headshot the journal provides, right?]
..."bod", huh?
[Voice]
That's what I said.
[Voice]
[But enough about that, time for more dramatic journal-pointing.]
Well! Then I'll just have to out-do you in that department too!
[Voice]
['And who are you going to show?']
[Voice]
[Voice]
And you'd be willing to put yourself at her beck and call sight unseen, huh?
[Voice]
[Urk. Kind of like who she was aiming for back at home.]
[She'll just have to hope he didn't catch that slip.]
--everything for! Right?
[Voice]
[Voice]
[More like yes.]
[Voice]
['Winning is so sweet, especially for a "some lanky teenage boy."']
[Voice]
Just. Shut up! You sound like a creepy guidance counselor. Or something.
[Voice]
Well, a lot of them are just hard-working underpaid people, trying to help young people out. But okay, maybe they're all creepy.
[Voice]
[...]
Not. That I ever talked to guidance counselors. I mean.
[Voice]
So all the ones you talked to were also not creepy.
[Voice]
[Wait, wait, she's got this:]
All the ones I never talked to are creepy!
[....]
Why am I even talking about this.
[Voice]
[Voice]
[POUTING.]
[Voice]
[Voice]
[MORE POUTING. But clearly she's getting a little too informal with this guy so she pulls back a bit.]
Meanwhile your girlfriend is here and you don't even seem to appreciate it! How's that for justice?
