10 ~ comparing those worlds to this boring, normal life [audio/picture]
['Well. It sure got cold pretty fast, huh? Which means that I'm rapidly approaching the one-year mark, so I should really be proud. Or something. After burrowing myself away to avoid complications from refugees, my antisociality has reached a certain limit.
Unfortunately, I also have nothing to contribute beyond the observation about the weather which I already blithely used up there! Not that people can read my thoughts, but if they could, they'd find out. Well, they'd find out a lot of things. But who would want to anyway? It would just go on and on without any point.
Anyway, I guess I'll poorly disguise my attempt to see who's up for a random conversation with some kind of opener. Hey, if I were at home, this would be a mind-scarring Omegle session or something. At least I'm pretty sure I won't run into the usual problems stranger-chatting over the journal.'
...and so:]
So I found this in a book the other day.

Maybe this doesn't work as well over the journal, but I thought it was cool, anyway. Or at least different from discussions about fire and eternal suffering, continued kidnapping, disappearance, reappearance, cross-dressing, and so on.

[voice]
[...yes. She'll be taking her journal with her, but covering up the camera to make sure he can't see where she is, but can still hear her. Finally, all that thievery with Fin is paying off!]
If you make this easy for me, I'll make sure your punishment isn't as severe.
[voice] -> [text]
Make it easy on you? ['Maybe if you had said "there won't be any punishment..."
And then lied and done it anyway...
Wait, that is definitely not something I should suggest.'
Anyway, he switches to text to give away fewer clues:]
Never!!
['Besides, what's the point of a less-severe punishment when it's going to be awful if it happens anyway?
He grabs the journal, too, and starts out of his room and down the interminable stairs. The one place it's probably best not to be is his room, after all.
'Well, unless you use reverse psychology. Okay, I'm just freaking myself out now.']
You'll never find me, SFSS, you should just give up now.
[...he says while openly wandering out of the door of his community housing building.]
[voice] -> [...action?!]
So, gymnastics ribbon in hand, she'll hide where there's a clear view of the stairs, but she's hidden to anyone coming down.
There. There! It was Kyon! Once he's near the door, Maron will leap from her hiding place, ribbon already going for his feet!]
There! Gotcha!
[action!]
'Oh, my God, worst plan ever.'
But no, he's been gotten, hasn't he? By the terrifying ribbon?]
W-We didn't even start yet! Not very fair, Maron-chan!
[He can't help but grin a bit, too. Ridiculous as this is, it's not so bad that it ended... uh, instantly.]
[action!]
[Nevermind he was on what, the fifth floor?]
Ho ho, calling me 'Maron-chan' won't save you now, Kyon. [The tickling fingers, they are already beginning to appear.]
[action!]
... Wait, would calling you Maron-chan have saved me earlier?
[Trying to hop away within the confines of the ribbon...]
[action!]
[...she could be mean. She could be very mean and tug the ribbon. Make him trip. But that isn't like her. Instead, she'll just walk closer to him, fingers still threatening tickle torture.
As menacingly as someone who is 5' is, of course.]
[action!]
I don't know if I even remember what you're talking about at this point. Maron-chan.
['Hey, if there's any chance that that helps me curry favor, I'll take it.']
[action!]
[Maron is closer now. Close enough to brush fingers across his side. She's testing the tickling, seeing if it works.]
[action!]
He immediately flinches away, then wishes he hadn't, and in recompense flinches back towards her. That way it feels more like poking than tickling.]
These interrogation techniques are outlawed by all kinds of conventions, you know...
[action!]
[She's trying more now. He will be tickled, damn it!]
I don't have you tied up in another room or something. So out with it!
[action!]
[...he manages to get out before he starts struggling and laughing and then squirming in earnest.]
How would being tied up in another room be worse anyway?!
[action!]
[Not that he's probably expecting her to sit on him to keep him from moving. Like she's attempting to now.]
Just out with it! What did my reaction to that image say about me?
[TICKLETICKLETICKLETICKLE]
[action!]
A thought which is promptly squelched by being sat on and tickled.]
--Oh, come on! Y-You obviously guessed!
[action!]
[Maron will make him laugh eventually, and the tickle torture may or may not stop then.]
You were the one teasing me, Kyon!
[action!]
[NOPE. He's losing the capacity to respond coherently with this.]
[action!]
Will you laugh, Kyon?]
[action!]
[action!]
Will you talk now? Or will I have to resort to something so inhumane as tickle torture again?
[action!]
[action!]
As I recall, I believe your words were "your first reaction to an image says more about you than about the image," Kyon. Just what does that reaction say about me?
[action!]
[action!]
[Hands are getting closer to his sides again. Tickle torture is imminent.]
[action!]
W-Well, obviously it means you're a romantic!
[action!]
Are you lying to me, Kyon? I know where you live, you know.
[action!]
[action!]
[action!]
