10 ~ comparing those worlds to this boring, normal life [audio/picture]
['Well. It sure got cold pretty fast, huh? Which means that I'm rapidly approaching the one-year mark, so I should really be proud. Or something. After burrowing myself away to avoid complications from refugees, my antisociality has reached a certain limit.
Unfortunately, I also have nothing to contribute beyond the observation about the weather which I already blithely used up there! Not that people can read my thoughts, but if they could, they'd find out. Well, they'd find out a lot of things. But who would want to anyway? It would just go on and on without any point.
Anyway, I guess I'll poorly disguise my attempt to see who's up for a random conversation with some kind of opener. Hey, if I were at home, this would be a mind-scarring Omegle session or something. At least I'm pretty sure I won't run into the usual problems stranger-chatting over the journal.'
...and so:]
So I found this in a book the other day.

Maybe this doesn't work as well over the journal, but I thought it was cool, anyway. Or at least different from discussions about fire and eternal suffering, continued kidnapping, disappearance, reappearance, cross-dressing, and so on.

Twenty hours of indentured servitude.
[She's trying very hard to sound serious.]
[Voice]
['Wouldn't be the worst time, either.']
[Voice]
[Trying not to laugh here.]
[Voice]
[Voice]
Heh. Is that your girlfriend's name?
[This being before she meets a certain Suzumiya over the journals, she doesn't quite make the connection just yet.]
[Voice]
--No. It's... It's Haruhi's name.
['Best possible explanation.']

[Activate.]
Your girlfriend Haruhi's name, right?
[Voice]
Just meet her and you won't say anything like that.
['False. But at least a convenient excuse for now.']

[Ponderiiiing...]
[Voice]
[Voice]
Definitely more likely than being mine. Her last girlfriend was a blonde, too.
[Voice]
A blonde complex, huh? Sounds like a girl after my own heart!

[Voice]
But you know, you sound pretty calm for a guy who's about to have the love of his life stolen away from him.
[Voice]
I wonder why that is.
[Voice]
[Such obviously fake indignation...! She's pointing in an accusatory manner down at the journal.]
[Voice]
[so deadpan.]
[Voice]
[Peeeeeering down at the journal. Because clearly she can somehow look through it and see more than the simple headshot the journal provides, right?]
..."bod", huh?
